Maintaining the Dog Potty is no big ordeal at all. It can be cleaned and preserved depending on your preference to do it on a weekly or daily basis.

For those who would like to clean on a daily basis, take the Clean + Green product cleaner, and spray the liquid onto the surface of the synthetic grass, the reservoir and the base unit. After spraying the liquid, rinse them thoroughly with cold water. Ensure that you clean both the surfaces of the dog potty unit. Alternatively, you can also rinse the grass, the base unit and the reservoir with cold water until you see that the contents of the reservoir are clear.

For those who prefer to clean the unit on a weekly basis, place the Dog Potty Dog Grass™ into a pillow case. The grass surface should be able to fit into a king sized pillow case. Wash the pillow case with a cup of laundry detergent and a cup of liquid bleach in cold water in the washing machine. Never tumble dry.

You can even clean the unit using a hose pipe. Spray the hose onto the grass surface as well as the Dog Potty unit and remember to clean both the surfaces. You can use the Clean + Green product cleaner to do effective cleaning as well.

Training your dog to get adjusted to the Dog Potty is very simple and does not require a lot of effort. The unit can be set up indoors or even outdoors depending on the relieving preference of your dog. After setting up the location, you can start potty training your dog. Use the attractant spray on the synthetic grass to attract the dog, especially a few hours after a meal.

In case of puppies, the training could be a little difficult as they have the tendency to run, drink and eat everywhere thus relieving themselves anywhere they fit to do such a thing. One thing that you could do is to place the puppy right after she wakes up in the morning on the Dog Potty. Puppies are known to clear their bladder right in the morning. After a few days, you will see that your puppy will go right to the Potty unit to relieve herself independently without any prompting.

Rewarding and encouraging your dog to use the Potty will do the trick. Give them little treats right after they relieve themselves on the Potty. Once they find out that using the Potty makes you happy, they will continue to use it to please you. While puppies are known to learn the habit in a few days, older dogs could take a couple of weeks.

The working of the Dog Potty is very simple and easy to understand. By using the spray on the grass, you indirectly attract the dogs so that they come and relieve themselves at the Dog Potty. When the dogs urinate on the grass, the urine is absorbed and drains through the perforated surface into a large container.

At the end of the day, you can easily dispose the liquid and clean the container. The Dog Potty can even be used if the dog decides to poop and it is similar to that of grass outdoors. Therefore, you do not have to worry at all. The Dog Potty is perfectly resistant to moisture, fungi, absorption, bacteria and moisture and thus can be used conveniently indoors. All the materials in the Dog Potty unit are made of polyethylene that has antimicrobial and antibacterial properties.
